IO Tech Solutions Limited is looking for a Security Engineer to join a distributed security group that is still shaping its operating model. This is a full-time remote position. The team is designing scalable tooling and processes meant to keep pace with a fast-expanding company, and the engineer will have real influence over architecture, tool selection and leading initiatives.
Day to day, the engineer studies threats and deploys fitting safeguards, keeps live security platforms healthy, and handles change control for hybrid, multi-cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Other tasks include creating automated security workflows that can scale, watching security practice across the entire company, and framing security as something that helps the business succeed.
People leadership is part of the job. The engineer coaches and directs colleagues on security operations methods, and the posting expects someone who takes initiative to fix problems and deliver outcomes.
The ideal applicant has spent at least five years in security engineering and understands the field broadly. A solid grasp of operating systems, cloud platforms and networking is needed, together with an attacker's viewpoint on defense. Practical experience in monitoring, intrusion detection and prevention, endpoint protection, identity administration, threat response and vulnerability management is required, along with coding fluency in a major high-level language. Candidates with less time in the field may be considered for a more junior operations position.

- Practical skill in monitoring, intrusion detection and prevention, and vulnerability management
- Hands-on work with endpoint protection and network security
- Coding proficiency in at least one high-level language
