Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of Android features from initial problem identification to post-launch assessment
- Define product scope, challenge assumptions, propose streamlined solutions, and address platform constraints early
- Develop clean, well-tested Kotlin and Compose UI code aligned with existing architectural standards
- Collaborate directly with iOS, web, and backend team members to establish optimal logic placement for cross-platform features
- Partner with design and leadership personnel to convert preliminary concepts into functional Android releases
- Navigate open-ended project requests by asking targeted questions, identifying edge cases, and charting initial execution paths
- Maintain steady project momentum even when final product destinations lack complete definition
- Elevate mobile engineering standards concerning code quality, automated testing, and product perspective
- Attend biannual in-person company offsites located around the United States
Requirements
- Multiple years of professional experience building production Android applications
- Demonstrated fluency in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, coroutines, Flow, and modern Android architecture
- Ability to contribute effectively on at least one secondary platform including web, iOS, or backend
- Product engineering mindset focused on understanding underlying user needs and measuring real-world impact
- Experience communicating complex technical trade-offs clearly to non-engineering partners
- Capacity to operate autonomously through ambiguity and drive projects forward
