Humana is currently hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Architect to join its team on a remote basis. In this full-time role, the professional will build and optimize business intelligence processes, architectures, and standards to facilitate data consumption and decision-making. The position involves evaluating variable factors to tackle moderately complex to complex issues, partnering with technical and business stakeholders, and turning information needs into scalable analytics solutions. Humana Inc. is a prominent U.S. healthcare organization providing insurance and CenterWell healthcare services to support individuals, families, Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries, and military personnel in achieving optimal health.
This opportunity requires autonomous decision-making on architectural matters with minimal supervision. Candidates will design testing methodologies, establish quality controls, and formulate data governance policies. Occasional travel to company offices for meetings or training may be requested. Please note that work visa sponsorship is unavailable for this opening. The starting base pay ranges from $106,900 to $147,000 annually, complemented by a bonus incentive plan tied to individual and company performance.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to build, support, and enhance business intelligence solutions
- Translate information and data needs into scalable analytics products
- Address complex business challenges by leveraging internal and external data sources
- Design and optimize BI architecture, operational processes, standards, and overall solution performance
- Establish testing methodologies, validation criteria, and quality control measures
- Develop data governance policies, standards, procedures, and quality metrics
- Serve as a bridge of communication between technical, project management, and business groups
- Investigate emerging technologies and formulate business cases for novel intelligence solutions
- Deliver technical guidance and consultation to internal teams to encourage effective platform utilization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
- Five or more years of experience in data architecture, business intelligence, data analysis, or a related discipline
- Advanced background handling large and complex data collections inside large healthcare organizations
- Advanced proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and analytics platforms
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate data to resolve intricate business obstacles and guide strategic choices
- Track record of collaborating across cross-functional groups and translating guidelines among various stakeholders
- Background in designing or supporting analytics processes, applications, architecture, or standards
- Experience creating testing protocols, process controls, or data quality measures
- Self-provided internet service meeting a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps
- A dedicated workspace free from ongoing interruptions to safeguard member protected health information
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a quantitative or technical field such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Familiarity with Python, Databricks, and Power BI
- Background supporting member, provider, claims, quality, risk adjustment, or healthcare analytics domains
