Syms Strategic Group, LLC (SSG) is hiring a remote Senior Business Process Analyst to support the Veterans Affairs (VA) department on a full-time, W-2 basis. This role offers an annual salary range of $80,000 to $120,000. Military Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. The position requires candidates to operate 100% remotely within the United States, though individuals residing in CA, CO, IL, MN, NJ, NY, OR, or WA are ineligible for consideration.
The Senior Business Process Analyst will provide expertise in continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management, and performance measurement. Responsibilities include defining business processes and policies, performing current state and gap analyses, establishing future state designs, and overseeing quality programs. The professional will collaborate with business and technology teams, conduct client interviews, deliver presentations and training courses, execute cost-benefit analyses, and supply technical solutions to complex challenges. Candidates must be available for video interviews on Microsoft Teams with the camera turned on and will need to provide a LinkedIn profile link during screening.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management, and performance measures
- Define and develop business processes, policies, roles and responsibilities, and performance metrics
- Conduct current state analysis, gap analysis, benchmarking, best practices identification, and organizational assessments
- Plan and implement process improvements including future state design, change management, and transition planning
- Interface with customer, computer services, and client services project areas
- Oversee the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures
- Interpret policies, regulatory and governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to ensure compliance
- Work with operating entities to provide continuous process analyses oversight
- Coordinate with business and technology teams to determine system requirements and conduct client interviews
- Deliver presentations and training courses on measurement, analysis, improvement, and control
- Perform cost-benefit analyses and establish goals to meet outlined objectives
- Provide technical solutions to difficult problems requiring evaluation of identifiable data factors
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance
- Knowledge of Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
- Experience leading and delivering complex projects
- Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements, processes, and workflows
- Proficiency in creating functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams
- Experience with business modeling techniques and tools like UML and BPMN
- Familiarity with documentation tools such as Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart
- Proficiency in project management and tracking tools including JIRA and Microsoft Project
- Understanding of database concepts and basic querying skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau
- Ability to pass a background investigation including criminal history, drug testing, and creditworthiness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline with 20 years of experience, or a Master’s degree in those fields with 10 years of experience
- Deep hands-on EDIFECS experience in Electronic Data Interchange X.12 transactions standards involving medical claims and workflows
- Experience with FHIR and HL7
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Six Sigma Certification
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
