Job Description
Cohesity, a data security and management vendor, is recruiting a Senior Channel Sales Engineer to develop technical partnerships with strategic channel partners. The goal is for partners to prefer Cohesity's backup, recovery and cyber resilience platform when they lead with data protection. The listing is remote and full time.
The engineer is accountable for the technical side of assigned partner accounts and works alongside channel managers, AEs and field engineers. Work includes engaging partner engineers, practice leads and executives, and bringing in the appropriate Cohesity specialists. The engineer delivers enablement sessions such as hands-on labs, demos, workshops and certification tracks, and turns the portfolio into services and revenue plans that suit each partner. Regular check-ins are kept, certification progress is tracked, and partner feedback is passed to product, engineering and support.
The posted requirements include a bachelor's degree in computing, engineering or math, or practical experience of comparable depth. Pre-sales engineering or solutions consulting in infrastructure, security, data protection or cloud settings, ideally through resellers or distributors, is desirable. Practical knowledge of backup, recovery, storage and cyber resilience across on-premises, hybrid and cloud settings helps, as does familiarity with ransomware defense, immutable storage, encryption and access control. Fluent English is required, and travel is about half of the time.
Base pay is listed at 186,200 to 232,750 USD a year, with possible bonus, commission or equity depending on the role. Full-time staff receive health and wellness coverage, vacation, public holidays and refresh days, a 401(k), and life and disability insurance. Staff living within roughly 45 minutes of a core office are expected in two to three days a week. Applicants located elsewhere should only apply if they can relocate before starting.
