3Cloud is hiring a remote Senior Consultant - Data Platforms & Architecture on a full-time basis, offering an annual salary ranging from $103,100 to $154,700 along with bonus eligibility. The position suits professionals experienced in data management, analytics, and Microsoft cloud technologies who want to guide clients through complex technical transformations.
In this capacity, the professional will execute technical deliverables using Agile and Waterfall frameworks, implement Microsoft Power BI tool suites, and build advanced database systems such as data warehouses and marts. The role involves designing scalable solutions, conducting data analyses, authoring design documentation, and creating dashboards or visual analytics. Additionally, the consultant will support pre-sales efforts for business development teams, mentor colleagues, and showcase emerging technologies.

Responsibilities
- Deliver technical tasks applying Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Deploy solutions utilizing the Microsoft Power BI tool suite and related technologies
- Build advanced database systems including data marts, models, and data warehouses for financial, operational, and business analysis
- Engineer reliable, high-performing, and scalable solutions
- Communicate technical information clearly to management and business stakeholders
- Execute data analyses to support and enhance information management systems
- Draft, review, and secure approval for assigned project design documents
- Construct reports, dashboards, scorecards, visual analytics, and data exploration tools
- Design and build solutions either independently or collaboratively within a team
- Partner with the business development group on pre-sales tasks and RFPs
- Coach and deliver constructive feedback to peers to help them navigate technological hurdles
- Lead demonstrations of emerging concepts and technologies for teams
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience working with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Databricks, Data Lake, Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure OpenAI
- Comprehensive understanding of Data Management, Analytics, and Business Intelligence concepts
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, data lakes, marts, stores, cubes, profiling, and quality
- Knowledge of data governance, master data management, metadata management, visualization, KPIs, scorecards, and self-service BI
- Proficiency in descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
- In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack encompassing SQL Server, Excel, and Power BI
- Ability to learn new software and concepts quickly alongside a strong drive for learning modern technologies
- Familiarity with database-centric applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience with the Azure Data Estate such as SQL DB, Cosmos DB, SQL DW, and Data Lake
- Background utilizing Azure ML Studio and associated services
- Advanced SQL capabilities including writing analytic functions, triggers, stored procedures, and performing performance tuning
- Familiarity with dimensional and relational database theories, structures, principles, and practices
- Exposure to data science algorithms, tools, and technologies like Python and R
