Job Description
Serve Robotics is seeking a Senior Corporate Strategist to act as the analytical backbone for major enterprise partnerships and core internal strategic decisions. Serve Robotics designs and deploys sidewalk delivery robots to handle commercial orders, reducing street congestion and serving local businesses and pedestrians across cities such as Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta, and Chicago. In this position, the strategist will independently manage workstreams involving market entry, city sequencing, competitive positioning, and capital allocation tradeoffs.
This role is ideal for analytical professionals with a background in management consulting or corporate strategy who thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. The person in this position will conduct deep-dive research, construct financial and pricing models from scratch, and produce board-level presentations and partner proposals. Working closely with leadership, including the Chief Strategy Officer, the strategist will translate complex operating data, financial filings, and industry research into defensible arguments and commercial agreements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct deep-dive research on target enterprises and markets covering business models, cost structures, and competitive pressures
- Build market sizing, pricing, unit economics, and scenario models from scratch
- Create comprehensive strategy decks, partner proposals, and analytical appendices for senior and board-level audiences
- Own discrete workstreams regarding market entry, city sequencing, competitive positioning, and capital allocation
- Synthesize messy inputs from public filings, earnings calls, and operating data into clear recommendations
- Evaluate the feasibility, scale, resource requirements, and strategic value of new business bets
- Manage a portfolio of fast-moving workstreams and coordinate requests across commercial and functional leaders
Requirements
- 3 to 8 years of professional experience with a meaningful stretch in corporate strategy, management consulting, or a similar environment
- Strong research instincts and the ability to build a defensible thesis on a company quickly
- Advanced Excel modeling skills, including building models from scratch and defending assumptions
- Slide creation skills sufficient to build presentations that a C-suite audience can follow without narration
- Clear writing abilities to construct and defend arguments in prose
- Judgment to manage competing priorities across senior stakeholders and escalate early when necessary
- Comfort with ambiguity, open-ended questions, and having conclusions challenged and reworked
Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent analytical training
- Exposure to startups, logistics, last-mile delivery, marketplaces, mobility, or robotics
- Experience supporting senior executives on high-stakes partner meetings and commercial negotiations at a high-growth company
- Previous background in consulting, investment banking, or another analytically rigorous strategy function
