In this role, you will join the Device Security squad to implement core security functions, establish security operations best practices, resolve software vulnerabilities, and guide product teams on secure coding principles.

Responsibilities involve writing and maintaining production software, performing code reviews, assisting in design scoping, and mentoring junior engineers. Responsibilities
- Implement new security features for upcoming product generations and build shared secure libraries
- Contribute to security design efforts, break down technical tasks, and estimate project work
- Write, test, debug, deliver, and maintain production software code
- Collaborate across hybrid core architecture teams including Design, QA, and Security Engineering
- Mentor junior and new team members through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and pair programming
- Review peer code to preserve high quality standards and foster supportive feedback channels
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in security development
Requirements
- Four or more years of software development experience featuring a security angle
- Four or more years of hands-on Windows security development experience
- Technical expertise in programming languages such as Rust, C#, C/C++, Go, or TypeScript
- Experience with Rust development and building FFI interfaces, particularly for Windows
- Familiarity with Windows OS architecture and platform-specific optimization techniques
- Practical background with TPM and HSM functionality, along with Windows security features like Windows Hello, BitLocker, Secure Boot, and Credential Guard
- Working knowledge of modern encryption techniques, libraries, and authentication protocols
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying nuanced technical topics
Qualifications
- Experience working with SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
- Prior software development experience on a SaaS product
- Past leadership experience as a software developer in a team setting
- Familiarity with GitHub or GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience using system analysis and performance monitoring tools such as DataDog, SemGrep, Sonarqube, or Fortify
- Personal background as a 1Password user
