Job Description

LaunchDarkly is hiring a Senior Director, Enablement for its Revenue team. The job is remote in the United States and reports to the VP of Revenue Operations and Enablement. The person will create a repeatable enablement model for every part of the revenue organization, so that customer-facing staff have the material, skills and processes to improve each buyer conversation. The role also plans and runs revenue events, including sales kickoffs.

LaunchDarkly builds software delivery tooling for developers. Its platform helps engineering teams ship features faster, roll changes out gradually, aim experiences at specific customer groups and quickly reverse changes that cause trouble. It also shows teams how steady and frequent their releases are.

The ideal leader is a strategic thinker with substantial experience in revenue-focused businesses where enablement is part of daily work. This person has built development programs and the processes and tooling for a mature enablement function. Key tasks include shaping a multi-year enablement plan linked to ramp speed, win rates and quota results; managing a worldwide group of enablement staff and coaching them; designing onboarding and ongoing readiness for sales, managers, solution engineers, customer success, development reps and partner managers; producing playbooks and messaging for technical buyers; and owning the playbook for new-customer and expansion deals.

Further work includes refreshing the enablement technology stack and adding AI to seller workflows, keeping a central content map the field relies on, designing the GTM kickoff and quarterly reviews, building dashboards that tie enablement to productivity and results, and defining a strategy for partner enablement. The role works with the CRO, sales and customer success leaders, product, marketing and partner teams on messaging and handoffs.

  • Manage a worldwide group of enablement leaders and specialists, coaching them and contributing hands-on when needed
  • Build onboarding and ongoing readiness for every revenue role, including pitch certification
  • Produce playbooks, talk tracks and competitive messages aimed at technical buyers
  • Own content and readiness planning for the yearly GTM kickoff and the quarterly reviews
  • Upgrade the enablement technology stack and bring AI into seller workflows
  • Keep a company-wide content map as the reference point for field teams
  • Create dashboards that connect enablement to rep and partner productivity, satisfaction and completion rates
  • Set the partner enablement direction in line with internal programs and go-to-market plans

Requirements

  • Ten-plus years of combined experience in sales and enablement roles at enterprise software companies, five-plus of them in leadership
  • History of growing onboarding and enablement programs during fast expansion
  • Expertise in value-based selling, sales methods, coaching, skill building and presentations
  • Experience organizing large events such as worldwide sales kickoffs
  • Previous experience creating and launching partner enablement programs
  • Strong writing and speaking skills that persuade people at every level, including executives
  • Ability to create alignment across sales, marketing, CS, SE and product organizations
