Job Description
Abnormal AI is seeking a GTM finance leader at Senior Director level to steer the financial approach and operating rhythm of its go-to-market organization. The person works with GTM Operations, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales to convert growth targets into concrete plans for bookings, pipeline, sales capacity, productivity, retention, spending, and profit. The position carries visibility and suits a person who combines sharp financial judgment with hands-on SaaS and GTM operating background.
Daily responsibilities include creating driver-based models that tie pipeline, capacity, conversion, and retention to bookings, ARR, revenue, and profit. The director owns forecasting and resource planning, shapes the design and oversight of sales compensation plans, and oversees commission forecasting and administration with the Accounting team. The company also wants this leader to modernize GTM finance by applying AI, automation, and analytics to sharpen forecasts, tighten controls, and cut manual effort.
The position is full-time and remote, with a base salary of $229,500 to $330,000 in USD. Final pay depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and the role may also come with bonus or incentive pay, equity, and benefits. The director will also staff and develop the GTM finance group, building accountability across Finance and the wider business.
Responsibilities
- Offer GTM leaders a sharp financial perspective on results, spending choices, and trade-offs
- Build and maintain plans and forecasts for bookings, ARR, pipeline, staffing, and operating costs
- Anticipate risks and openings before they surface in published numbers
- Coordinate with the sales and GTM operations groups on quota setting, territory design, ramp timing, and productivity
- Assess lead generation performance and channel returns alongside Marketing leaders
- Advise Customer Success and renewals teams on churn, upsell, and renewal economics
- Shape the financial logic and oversight of sales pay plans, including quota economics and cost projections
- Compose executive narratives that tie outcomes to drivers and recommended next steps
- Advise on launches, pricing shifts, new regions, and channel programs
- Eliminate manual processes and design scalable workflows for planning, reporting, and commissions
- Define metrics, operating rhythm, and management reporting to speed decision-making
Requirements
- At least twelve years in planning and analysis, strategic finance, or adjacent work, including leading in a fast-growing SaaS or subscription business
- Solid grasp of SaaS and GTM economics, such as ARR, bookings, conversion rates, capacity, productivity, and retention
- Track record of owning or heavily influencing GTM plans, forecasts, and resource decisions
- Track record of working closely with executives across revenue, marketing, customer success, and finance teams
- Substantive background in designing sales pay, quota economics, or commission programs
- Strong handle on operating expense and headcount management
- Outstanding analysis that moves easily between granular operations and high-level strategy
- Advanced financial modeling and driver-based forecasting experience
- Gift for condensing large datasets into crisp insights and recommended actions
- History of strengthening processes, systems, and controls instead of just running them
- Real enthusiasm for AI and automation that lifts Finance output
- High personal ownership and ability to grow a team that runs independently
- A bachelor's degree from a quantitative program such as finance, accounting, economics, or engineering
Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, or comparable advanced credential (a plus)
- Background in security software, enterprise tech, or another intricate B2B SaaS setting
- Hands-on use of planning software, BI dashboards, CRM systems, and commission tools
- Use of predictive modeling, ML, or AI methods on forecasts or pipeline analytics
- Helped launch products, expand across product lines or geographies, or build channel strategy
