Addepar is seeking a Senior Finance Planning & Pigment Analyst to help modernize, automate, and scale its global finance operations. The company operates a global data and AI platform that unifies portfolio, market, and client data for investment professionals, serving over 1,500 firms managing nearly $10 trillion in assets worldwide.
In this role, the successful candidate will execute the Finance Transformation roadmap by evaluating legacy processes, updating driver-based planning logic, and standardizing data architectures. Serving as the in-house Pigment Builder, this position bridges raw financial logic with scalable system architecture by building and configuring Pigment items like blocks, metrics, transactions, applications, and executive dashboards.
This full-time remote opportunity offers a base salary ranging from CAD $100,000 to $125,000 per year, alongside bonuses, equity, and benefits. Applicants must reside in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, or Ontario, and must possess legal work authorization in Canada on day one of employment, as visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and configure multidimensional models, metrics, dimension lists, and transaction blocks to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
- Create clean and scalable items within Pigment to automate complex financial schedules such as headcount planning, revenue recognition, capex, and working capital
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to maintain system integrations between Pigment, ERP systems, CRM, and other planning platforms
- Audit existing Pigment architecture to improve calculation performance, simplify complexity, and maintain model scalability
- Translate complex business rules, accounting guidelines, and FP&A models into efficient formula logic
- Build real-time variance analysis dashboards comparing actuals against budgets and forecasts to support fast decision-making
- Partner with FP&A stakeholders to standardize data structures, chart of accounts mappings, and driver assumptions across business units
- Design intuitive end-user dashboards and reporting packages within Pigment for executive leadership and department heads
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience building, modeling, and configuring items within Pigment or equivalent enterprise planning platforms
- Strong understanding of financial statements, US GAAP principles, variance reporting, and corporate FP&A workflows
- Advanced proficiency in financial formula structures, relational data structures, multidimensional modeling concepts, and basic SQL or data transformation logic
- Ability to translate complex finance requirements into technical model logic and explain system capabilities to non-technical business partners
- Legal authorization to work in Canada on the first day of employment without visa sponsorship
- Residency in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, or Ontario
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
- Three or more years of experience in FP&A, financial modeling, or financial systems administration with direct experience building in cloud EPM or CPM platforms
