This is a long-term, remote-only Senior Full-Stack Engineer opening at a team working inside a quick-moving fintech setting. Hours follow Eastern Time. The stack centers on React and TypeScript for the client side and Node.js with TypeScript for services.
Daily work covers building and upkeep of production applications, plus backend services, APIs, outside integrations and server-side checks. The engineer also owns PostgreSQL structure: schemas, migration scripts, queries, indexing and tuning. Testing duties span unit tests, integration tests and full end-to-end coverage. Architecture work involves caching layers, job queues and background workers, and refreshing older code is part of the mandate.
The posting expects seven or more years of paid engineering work, with recent depth in React, Node.js and TypeScript. Frontend-only applicants will not be considered. Since the team relies on AI coding assistants like Claude, applicants should be fluent with them and able to justify technical choices. Communication in English and Russian is required. Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production applications written in React, Node.js and TypeScript
- Create backend services, APIs, outside integrations and server-side validation
- Design and tune PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, queries and indexes
- Write tests across unit, integration and full end-to-end coverage
- Architect scalable setups with caching, queues and background processing
- Modernize legacy code and help clean up technical debt
- Explain technical choices clearly to colleagues
Requirements
- Seven or more years building software professionally
- Recent, deep experience with React, Node.js and TypeScript
- Genuine full-stack range; frontend-only profiles are not considered
- Hands-on PostgreSQL work, including migrations and indexing
- Background in architecture planning, connecting external services and E2E test automation
- Comfort using AI coding assistants and explaining decisions made with them
- Strong communication in English and Russian
Qualifications
- Production AWS work with ECS or Fargate, containers, S3 and CloudFront
- Payments background involving ACH, reconciliation, compliance and idempotency
