The organization is currently recruiting a Senior HR Advisor for its Manchester office to operate within a hybrid work model.
This position sits in the UKI People team with a primary focus on the Merchant division. The professional in this role will guide complex employee relations cases, enhance management capabilities, and utilize people analytics to drive consistent workplace experiences. Responsibilities include managing comprehensive caseloads involving grievances, performance, absence, probation, and disciplinary actions, alongside partnering with business leaders during organizational changes and performance calibrations. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of UK employment law, and the ability to balance commercial needs with positive employee experiences.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end employee relations caseloads covering grievances, disciplinaries, absence, performance, and probation
- Partner with managers and leaders to foster an engaging workplace environment and provide practical advice aligned with UK employment law
- Conduct root-cause analysis using feedback and case data to identify operational hotspots and formulate proactive solutions
- Coach and upskill managers through sensitive personnel matters and deliver sessions on employment policies
- Collaborate on UKI People projects, performance calibrations, engagement initiatives, and change management processes
Requirements
- Extensive background handling complex end-to-end employee relations matters in a rapid environment alongside current knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Demonstrated advisory and coaching proficiency with the ability to challenge management constructively and balance commercial risk
- Strong judgment to navigate delicate or ambiguous scenarios independently
- Analytical mindset capable of leveraging data and trends to formulate proactive HR interventions
- High attention to detail, strong organization skills, excellent communication abilities, and strict discretion regarding confidential data
Qualifications
- Background supporting operational, commercial, or technology-driven business units
- Exposure to or interest in HR Business Partnering and organizational design
- Experience implementing retention, engagement, or employee listening programs
- Familiarity with upgrading HR guidance, digital processes, or self-service tools
- Knowledge of people analytics or AI-powered tools to enhance human resources decision-making
