Meesho is hiring a Senior Manager for Fulfilment and Experience in Bengaluru. The post sits in ValMo, the logistics and supply chain arm, which moves parcels from first-mile collection through to final delivery and returns for small sellers across India, handling millions of shipments each month.
The role is part of the network control tower, which is accountable for how stable, dependable and affordable the country-wide network runs. It is a generalist, outcome-based post: the manager is answerable for overall network health and takes on whichever high-leverage issue matters most at any point.
The core duty is network stability. That means building dashboards, early-warning systems and control-tower routines that follow service levels, turnaround time, RTO and cost at every stage of delivery, catching exceptions in linehaul and sorting, and running root-cause reviews that lead to lasting fixes with ground operations.
Other problems the role may pick up include network design, demand and capacity planning ahead of peak periods, contingency planning that stops regional shocks spreading, and structural cost cuts through better routing and load use. The manager also writes SOPs for an asset-light partner base and connects central strategy, product, technology, regional operations and third-party logistics partners.
Responsibilities
- Build dashboards, early-warning systems and control-tower routines covering service levels, turnaround time, RTO and cost across first, middle and last mile
- Spot real-time and structural exceptions in linehaul and sorting, and trigger fast responses
- Lead structural root-cause reviews of deviations and push permanent corrective fixes with ground teams
- Improve the end-to-end network plan, covering hubs, micro-nodes, linehaul routes and last-mile zones
- Forecast demand and plan capacity so the network copes in ordinary weeks and during festival peaks
- Set up fallback plans so local disruptions do not spread through the network
- Reduce structural costs by improving routing, load efficiency and node productivity alongside Product and Data colleagues
- Write SOPs and operating guidelines for an asset-light partner base, then make sure they are followed
- Connect central strategy, product, technology, regional ground operations and third-party logistics partners
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, or an MBA, from a top-tier school
- Five to eight years in broad strategy work, supply planning, network layout or core operations, drawn from consulting, e-commerce, hyperlocal delivery, express logistics or FMCG
- Strong first-principles problem solving and a varied record across different types of problems
- Excel and Google Sheets proficiency is mandatory
- Ability to reason through dependencies between first, middle and last mile nodes and foresee knock-on effects
- High ownership, comfort with ambiguity and clear cross-functional communication under pressure
Qualifications
- SQL, Python or BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI are highly preferred
