Job Description

saas.group is an established B2B software portfolio enterprise that acquires and scales growing SaaS ventures across the globe. Operating with an entirely remote workforce of roughly 350 colleagues spread over 50 countries, the organization manages 23 distinct software brands. The Central Platform Engineering Team is currently seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to oversee core infrastructure services, elevate technology stacks, and partner directly with individual portfolio brands.

This autonomous position blends architectural strategy, hands-on engineering, and technical enablement. The incoming professional will design standardized paved road practices covering infrastructure as code, continuous integration, backups, and observability, while also guiding brand CTOs and engineering groups through complex migrations and modernizations. Key initial milestones include completing a pair-programming onboarding process, leading a brand integration onto standard infrastructure patterns, and delivering impactful performance or cost refactoring projects.

Ideal candidates possess extensive cloud engineering backgrounds, daily proficiency with artificial intelligence coding assistants, and strong consulting skills suited for influencing technical stakeholders. The company fosters a high-trust, low-bureaucracy environment centered on flexibility, open communication, and collaborative problem-solving among entrepreneurial professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage infrastructure projects for assigned brands including cloud cost optimization, containerization, incident response improvements, and system migrations
  • Design and upgrade continuous integration pipelines, infrastructure as code templates, monitoring systems, and service-level objective dashboards
  • Advise brand engineering leadership on architectural decisions and technical trade-offs using measurable outcomes
  • Consume and contribute to central infrastructure services like backups and observability tools to avoid duplicated work
  • Troubleshoot across both application and infrastructure boundaries while collaborating directly with brand development teams
  • Utilize artificial intelligence coding utilities daily for tasks like scripting, infrastructure as code generation, and incident diagnosis, while mentoring brand teams in similar habits
  • Participate in a shared on-call rotation

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of professional background working in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or cloud and platform engineering at a senior level
  • Practical expertise utilizing infrastructure as code tools, specifically Terraform
  • Deep working knowledge of at least one major cloud computing platform, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Solid understanding of continuous integration and deployment concepts across varied technical environments
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability software like Prometheus, New Relic, Datadog, or ELK
  • Hands-on and daily practical usage of artificial intelligence coding assistants in infrastructure workflows
  • Background in software development or the capacity to read and debug application code
  • Strong consulting and communication abilities to advise technical stakeholders

Core Skills

Benefits

  • Ultimate flexibility to work entirely remotely from any location
  • High-trust environment with autonomy and minimal bureaucracy or red tape
  • Flexible time off policy
  • Access to a global network of entrepreneurial software professionals for knowledge exchange
