Proxify AB is hiring a remote Senior Platform Engineer on behalf of a client to develop, scale, and upkeep an Internal Developer Platform. This role focuses on treating the developer platform as a product by delivering self-service infrastructure abstractions, automated continuous delivery capabilities, and guardrails designed to minimize operational work for application software teams. The ideal candidate will create modular infrastructure blueprints, construct custom platform extensions, and establish end-to-end telemetry standards.

Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain self-service platform tools and developer portals for infrastructure provisioning and service deployments
- Run automated GitOps delivery pipelines utilizing ArgoCD or Flux with safe deployment practices
- Oversee cluster health, upgrade lifecycles, autoscaling policies, and security across multi-region Kubernetes deployments
- Develop production-grade code in Go or Python to create custom Kubernetes operators, CLI utilities, and API automation
- Set up platform-wide service level indicator and service level objective tracking, centralized logging, and tracing infrastructure
Requirements
- At least five years of practical experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or core DevOps
- Expert-level mastery of Kubernetes administration, custom controller or operator architectures, service meshes, and GitOps continuous delivery
- Deep proficiency with Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi for building modular infrastructure blueprints across AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong programming abilities in Go or Python for building custom platform extensions and integrations
- Experience constructing or integrating developer portals and automated workflow engines
- Hands-on background establishing telemetry standards using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud-native control plane abstractions like Crossplane
- Exposure to FinOps practices, container cost monitoring tools, and automated resource optimization
- Active contributions to open-source cloud-native projects within the CNCF ecosystem
- Background in zero-trust security controls, secrets management with HashiCorp Vault, and compliance automation
