Job Description
DuckDuckGo is a privacy-focused company with a remote-first team of over 300. Set up in 2008, the company has been profitable since 2014 and runs a browser, a search engine, a paid subscription and Duck.ai, a private AI chat service. Revenue is reported at more than USD 100 million a year.
This Senior Product Designer job is a brand-new position centred on design systems, so the holder will set up both the role and its roadmap. The designer reviews the existing system, leads projects that extend it across platforms and products such as Duck.ai and Search, and helps shape how it is managed as the team grows. Because the work reaches millions of users, the designer needs autonomy, clear documentation, measurable success criteria and the skill to bring stakeholders and engineers along.
Candidates need seven or more years in product or design systems work, including senior roles at large consumer brands. The post involves building cross-platform tokens and component libraries, fluent use of Figma, and using AI tools in maintenance. Base pay is USD 178,500 plus stock options, and compensation is published across the company.
