Job Description
PadSplit operates a two-sided housing marketplace that gives members and hosts a way to locate, secure and offer affordable homes. The company has an opening for a senior-level product designer who will join a growth-focused team and take on complex problems that affect both members and hosts. The role is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in South America.
The designer owns work from early problem framing through exploration, prototyping, launch and iteration. Responsibilities include making intricate processes and marketplace mechanics easy to follow, speaking with and observing members and hosts, and partnering with product managers to connect customer needs to business outcomes. The designer also tests assumptions through metrics, user input, mockups and trials, produces responsive screens in Figma using the company's design system, and creates prototypes for AI-enabled features with engineering, machine learning and AI teams.
The position is full-time. Candidates should be comfortable with complicated sign-up funnels or two-sided marketplaces and able to tie design decisions to measurable results, income and property economics such as rent, return on investment and occupancy. The posting lists pay of $50,000 to $70,000 a year, shaped by the role's scope, benchmarks for the national market, the individual's skills and the expected impact on company goals.

- Partner with product managers to find opportunities and shape solutions

- Collaborate with product managers, developers, marketing, operations and analytics partners on joined-up solutions
- Produce responsive, refined screens in Figma with reusable parts from the company's design system
- Create prototypes for smart workflows and AI-enabled features with engineering, ML and AI teams
Requirements
- Four or more years shaping digital products, preferably in complicated sign-up funnels or marketplaces
- Solid research abilities and ease talking with users one-on-one
- Comfort tying design choices to measurable results, income and property economics such as rent, ROI and occupancy
- Track record with multi-step processes, intricate service settings and workflows full of exceptions
- Strong Figma skills and interaction design for web and mobile, with a systems mindset and reusable components
- Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative insight
- Proven work creating AI-enabled features and applying current AI tools to design tasks
- Modest, warm, inquisitive and mission-driven when working with others
