Airalo is seeking a Senior Product Designer, UX to join its user experience division and shape consumer web and native mobile products utilized by millions globally. Operating as a senior individual contributor, the person in this role will drive design initiatives from initial problem exploration through final execution while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. Airalo functions as the world's first eSIM store, enabling travelers to secure affordable mobile data across more than 200 countries and regions. The organization operates globally with a fully remote team spanning over 60 countries, emphasizing trust, accountability, and freedom from unnecessary bureaucracy. This position suits individuals who lead through craft, systems thinking, and clarity, and who enjoy steering ambiguous challenges toward impactful outcomes. Candidates must be comfortable communicating in English for daily meetings and asynchronous work, and possess advanced proficiency in Figma and FigJam. Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product design for consumer mobile and web platforms spanning discovery to delivery
- Partner with product management, engineering, research, content design, data, and growth teams to translate customer insights into product improvements
- Develop user journeys, flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, UX copy, and specifications ready for production
- Organize and facilitate workshops, ideation sessions, design critiques, and stakeholder discussions
- Contribute to the company design system to enhance product quality, accessibility, consistency, and efficiency
- Mentor fellow designers through pair work, feedback sessions, and shared practices
- Strengthen the Product Design Guild by supporting research-led methods, collaboration, and the thoughtful application of AI
Requirements
- Minimum of six years of focused product design experience within a product-led company, tech startup, scale-up, or product agency
- Extensive background in designing, testing, and launching native mobile and web applications for B2C markets
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous design challenges from discovery to delivery while balancing user needs, strategy, and technical limits
- Advanced command of Figma and FigJam for creating flows, prototypes, specifications, and design assets
- Advanced expertise utilizing design systems, native mobile guidelines, responsive layouts, accessibility standards, and motion or interaction details
- Practical experience operating within Lean or Agile product development workflows
Qualifications
- Prior background in telecommunications, travel, marketplaces, subscriptions, or global consumer goods
- Familiarity with eSIMs, mobile connectivity services, or GSMA-related technologies
- Experience collaborating closely with user research, data, growth, or content design teams
- Practical use of AI and emerging tools to streamline design workflows and decision-making
