The engineering department utilizes cross-functional product teams comprising frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and designers who share end-to-end feature ownership. Within the Workflow Underwriting stream, the organization is designing next-generation underwriting platforms built around artificial intelligence agents, addressing foundational questions regarding domain models, architecture, and interaction patterns.
As a Senior Product Engineer, you will design, build, and operate backend services utilizing Kotlin or Java while taking production ownership. You will translate unclear underwriting challenges into reliable software, guide architectural evolution across APIs, persistence, and reliability, and build domain expertise to challenge requirements constructively. The role involves designing agent-assisted workflows, leveraging AI coding tools while maintaining strict accountability for quality and security, and collaborating across boundaries with frontend, product, and client-facing teams.

- Give and receive direct feedback to maintain high engineering standards
Requirements
- Strong professional experience building and running backend systems in Kotlin, Java, or another JVM language

- Evidence of shipping software that solved real customer or business problems end to end
