Vultr seeks a Senior Product Manager to spearhead its Marketplace and Partner Ecosystem. In this remote position, the chosen professional will guide the direction, building, and daily operations of the Vultr Marketplace platform, enabling technology partners and independent software vendors to distribute, publish, and monetize their offerings on global cloud infrastructure. Vultr operates as a privately-held cloud infrastructure organization serving numerous clients globally with cloud compute, storage, bare metal, and GPU solutions.
This visible position requires taking complete ownership of the user and partner journey, spanning vendor onboarding, validation, automated deployment, and platform enhancements. Ideal candidates bring significant product management background in platform ecosystems, enterprise software, or cloud infrastructure, combined with strong technical knowledge of networking, containers, and virtual machines. The salary range for this opportunity is $185,000 to $205,000 per year, accompanied by comprehensive health insurance coverage, a 401(k) matching program, annual professional development funds, wellness subsidies, and remote workspace stipends.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and drive the product strategy and roadmap for the Marketplace and Partner Ecosystem
- Establish security validation processes, technical standards, and lifecycle policies for third-party software
- Build self-service workflows and onboarding journeys for technology partners and independent software vendors
- Manage the end-to-end customer experience from discovery through production deployment
- Create detailed product requirement documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows
- Collaborate closely with engineering and user experience teams across all product lifecycle stages
- Integrate partner solutions with core infrastructure services like networking, Kubernetes, and databases
- Analyze failed deployments and incidents to prioritize platform improvements
- Direct a cross-functional team supporting partner recruitment, onboarding, and ecosystem health
- Monitor metrics covering partner onboarding velocity, deployment success rates, and customer adoption
Requirements
- Significant product management background in cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, developer platforms, or software marketplaces
- Demonstrated experience owning an end-to-end technical product area from strategy through delivery
- Technical understanding of cloud infrastructure including virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes, APIs, and infrastructure as code
- Track record of translating complex partner and customer workflows into scalable platform tooling
- Experience collaborating directly with software vendors, enterprise customers, and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills for drafting product strategies, launch plans, and requirement documents
Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud image packaging, Helm charts, CI/CD pipelines, or managed service integrations
- Knowledge of software licensing models, usage metering, entitlements, and private offers
- Prior experience working with platform ecosystems or cloud marketplace product management
