Job Description
Elastic is seeking a remote Senior Product Manager in the United States for its XDR offering within Security Solutions. The position is full-time. The holder will own a substantial share of the XDR roadmap and help develop the exposure and vulnerability tooling that sits beside it.
The job involves advancing detection logic, event correlation, incident construction and response actions over endpoint telemetry plus cloud, identity and network signals, and widening the set of data feeds that let XDR see across a real environment. For exposure work, flaws are ranked by whether they can realistically be exploited and reached, not solely by their raw CVSS number.
The product manager carries customer voices and threat research into product choices, meets senior security leaders, and keeps the roadmap up to date. Features need to run in cloud, on-premises and disconnected settings. Qualified candidates have at least five years in security product work, technical marketing or competitive analysis, at least three years in a neighboring technical field, and a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline.
Responsibilities
- Lead an XDR roadmap area from concept through release and refinement
- Develop capabilities for detection, correlating events, assembling incidents and responding
- Widen telemetry coverage with first-party data and feeds from EDR, cloud, identity and network vendors
- Contribute to exposure management and to the remediation workflow for vulnerabilities
- Write requirements that engineers can implement without repeated clarification sessions
- Bring customer research and threat intelligence from Elastic Security Labs into the backlog
- Represent the product in front of security customers, including senior stakeholders
- Keep the roadmap visible through trackers and short decision memos
Requirements
- Five years or more in security product management, technical marketing or competitive analysis
- Minimum of three years in a neighboring product-development or engineering role
- History of owning product areas through to improved, shipped results
- Working familiarity with SIEM, EDR and XDR platforms, plus incident response or forensic work, as a product manager or practitioner
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information security or engineering
Qualifications
- Hands-on work as an incident responder, detection engineer or SOC analyst before moving into product
- Solid grasp of detection analytics, prioritization methods and today's threat landscape
- Awareness of AI security: the ways AI, ML and agentic systems can be targeted and defended
- Experience with Customer Success, Sales, Engineering and Product colleagues
- Routine use of AI tools for research and delivery, while owning the results
Core Skills
Benefits
- Compensation tied to the scope of the work, not to earlier salary
- Medical cover extending to family members in a number of locations
- Adaptable hours and places of work for many positions
- A generous annual holiday entitlement
- Donation matching of up to $2,000 (or local equivalent) for charitable giving and volunteering
- As many as 40 yearly hours for volunteer work of your choosing
- Minimum 16-week parental leave
