Proxify AB is hiring a remote Senior QA Automation Engineer to act as the primary architect of a quality assurance strategy for a high-growth client team. This position centers on transitioning from manual checks to constructing reliable and scalable automation frameworks capable of maintaining software dependability during rapid development cycles. The professional chosen for this role will oversee the complete testing lifecycle, which includes establishing testing strategies, choosing appropriate tools, and embedding automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines.
This role is designed for a Developer in Test who enjoys building robust testing environments that allow development teams to deploy code securely. Candidates must reside within the CET timezone with a variance of plus or minus three hours, as applications outside this region cannot be considered.
Responsibilities
- Determine the automation roadmap and choose tools that fit the technical stack of the client
- Develop, maintain, and refine end-to-end integration and regression test suites
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to establish the definition of done and ensure design phase testability
- Detect, log, and monitor software bugs while cooperating with the development group for fast fixes
- Promote quality standards within the team through test script code reviews and sharing automated testing best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in test automation
- Expertise in modern frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
- Capability to write clean test code using TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Java
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling automation frameworks from scratch
- Extensive background in testing RESTful and GraphQL APIs using tools like Postman, SuperTest, or RestAssured
- Practical experience integrating automated tests into pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
- Must be located in the CET timezone plus or minus three hours
Qualifications
- Experience with mobile automation utilizing Appium or Maestro
- Familiarity with performance testing instruments like k6 or JMeter
- Knowledge of Docker for containerized test environments
- Experience with visual regression testing tools such as Percy and Applitools
- Familiarity with cloud testing platforms including BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, and AWS Device Farm
- Background in security testing utilizing OWASP principles
