Job Description

Mercury is seeking a Senior Recruiting Operations Partner to join its remote team and manage the systems relied upon by the company's recruiting department. Mercury builds financial technology products, such as banking, payments, and credit workflows, for ambitious companies. In this position, you will report to the Director of Recruiting and collaborate closely with the Staff Recruiting Operations Lead to oversee talent acquisition systems end-to-end.

This role suits an autonomous builder who prefers shipping iterative solutions over waiting for perfection, and someone who understands recruiting from the inside. Responsibilities include owning the applicant tracking system, sourcing and scheduling tools, interview intelligence platforms, and their integrations with Workday and headcount planning software. You will lead major system changes, manage vendor relationships and costs, build dependable AI workflows and process documentation, and partner with IT, People Ops, and Finance. The ideal candidate will design processes for all users, from coordinators to executives, while helping the talent team absorb changes efficiently.

The compensation package includes base salary, equity through stock options or RSUs, and benefits. Target base salaries vary by geographic location: $154,200 to $192,800 USD for US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area; $138,800 to $173,500 USD for other US locations; and $145,800 to $182,200 CAD for Canadian employees.

Responsibilities

  • Own recruiting systems end-to-end, including the applicant tracking system, sourcing and scheduling tools, interview intelligence platforms, and integrations with Workday and headcount planning software
  • Lead large system migrations and changes as the accountable owner, handling vendor evaluation, data mapping, HRIS integration, cutover, and training
  • Manage recruiting vendor contracts, renewals, costs, and ongoing software evaluations
  • Handle day-to-day operations such as permissions, offer workflows and approvals, troubleshooting, and answering internal process questions
  • Build, test, document, and schedule dependable AI workflows and automations for the team
  • Build and maintain the recruiting context layer containing process documentation, role materials, and playbooks for people and AI agents
  • Collaborate with IT, People Ops, Finance, and AI teams to implement changes and maintain team velocity
  • Analyze hiring data using AI tools without direct supervision and translate findings into operational improvements

Requirements

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in recruiting or talent operations at a tech company
  • Possess admin-level ownership experience with an applicant tracking system such as Greenhouse, Ashby, or Lever, including permissions, offer workflows, and integrations
  • Have built AI workflows or automations that are used weekly by others
  • Have led a systems implementation, migration, or cross-functional project of similar scope from decision to adoption

  • Full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Experience with Ashby
