In this role, you will combine e-commerce expertise with modern frontend engineering to construct performance-oriented storefronts. You will work across diverse client initiatives to design pragmatic solutions for complex commerce challenges, ranging from custom Liquid templates to headless architectures. The ideal contributor balances technical precision with a relaxed, communicative approach and values autonomy and transparent operations.
Day-to-day activities involve collaborating closely with technical leads and designers, building responsive and accessible interfaces, integrating third-party e-commerce APIs, and participating in team ceremonies like daily standups and sprint planning. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers and technical leads to address custom e-commerce and technical requirements
- Construct and support high-performance storefronts utilizing custom Liquid and modern headless architectures
- Develop responsive, accessible, and precise interfaces adhering to design specifications and motion guidelines
- Incorporate headless CMS platforms, subscription tools, payment gateways, and third-party APIs into custom storefronts
- Enhance storefront performance by focusing on Core Web Vitals, bundle sizes, asset delivery, and runtime efficiency
- Design scalable component libraries and design systems tailored for commercial platforms
- Draft documentation for store administration, codebase upkeep, and custom app integrations
- Take part in sprint planning, retrospectives, daily standups, and code reviews
Requirements
- Over 8 years of experience writing high-performance frontend code focused on optimization and Lighthouse scores
- Extensive experience building custom Shopify themes and headless storefronts via the Storefront API
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and contemporary CSS methodologies along with animation libraries
- Background in integrating Shopify with headless content management systems and third-party services
- Familiarity with industry-standard PaaS environments including Vercel, Netlify, and Shopify Oxygen
- Experience handling state management solutions and API integration patterns for cart state and checkout flows
- Competency in building WCAG compliant, accessible interfaces with a focus on SEO and testing frameworks
Qualifications
