Job Description

Intelerad is hiring a Senior Software Developer for its InteleOrchestrator team. The role supports radiology workflows so that clinicians receive the correct study promptly, which helps patients get answers sooner. The work centers on cloud services and browser-based frontends built on AWS, and the listing is marked remote.

Intelerad is a healthcare imaging technology company headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina and Montreal, with close to 700 employees across six countries. The company says its platform serves close to 2,000 healthcare organizations worldwide, and that its enterprise software was ranked first for PACS in Asia and Oceania in a 2021 industry report.

In this role you would carry features from concept through live operation, helping steer the team's architecture and technical roadmap. Quality and security are central: you would help embed test automation, deployment pipelines, monitoring and security practices into each release. You would also work with product, UX and clinical colleagues so that solutions align with HL7 and DICOM expectations and regulatory obligations, and you would coach other developers through reviews and shared learning.

The posting asks for a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, seven or more years of professional software development, and at least three years of full-stack production work. Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Go, microservices built with Spring Boot, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server is expected. A background in regulated industries and observability tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carry features from idea to operation, creating cloud-based services and browser interfaces on AWS organized as microservices.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, evaluate new technologies and help chart the InteleOrchestrator roadmap.
  • Add test automation, deployment pipelines, monitoring and security checks to every release.
  • Work with product, UX and clinical colleagues to make solutions fit HL7, DICOM and regulatory requirements.
  • Coach other developers through reviews, knowledge sharing and hands-on technical advice.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computing, engineering or a related area, or equivalent experience.
  • Seven or more years of professional software development, with at least three years building and shipping full-stack web applications to production.
  • Three-plus years of hands-on AWS use, including EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3 and container services like ECS or EKS.
  • Fluency in Kotlin and Go or comparable languages, with a firm grip on object-oriented and functional design.
  • Experience building microservice systems on Spring Boot or a comparable framework, plus familiarity with PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
  • Frontend development using either Angular or React.
  • Agile team experience with Gradle, Git and DevOps practices on both Windows and Linux.

Qualifications

  • Background with HL7 and DICOM, or with software in other regulated fields such as FDA- or FAA-governed settings.
  • Working knowledge of C# or the .NET Core framework.
  • Familiarity with jOOQ or comparable database abstraction tools.
  • Hands-on use of Datadog or New Relic for observability.

Core Skills

Benefits

  • Medical, financial and retirement coverage, plus paid time off and other benefits.
  • Bonus and other compensation may be included in a total compensation package.
