Affirm is a financial technology company seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer II for its Card Acquisition team within the Consumer division. Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals while leading engineers through open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during the product development lifecycle.
- Manage operational availability and uptime by maintaining monitoring, triage rotations, testing, alerting, and playbooks.
- Identify and solve project, process, or technical issues proactively.
- Establish code review and design standards to foster a culture of quality.
- Provide guidance and feedback to help develop team talent.
Requirements
- Have at least 4 years of experience working as a software engineer.
- Demonstrate experience leading mobile initiatives involving React Native or native development, including architecture and production reliability.
- Possess proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, along with experience shipping web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
- Show experience designing, developing, and launching large-scale backend systems using technologies such as Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Able to create technical plans for feature delivery with clean, extensible designs and write easily understood code.
