The organization seeks a product-focused Senior Software Engineer to design, construct, release, and maintain comprehensive product features utilized by hundreds of millions of end users and thousands of developers.
This hands-on individual contributor position requires deep technical expertise combined with strong product judgment and a bias toward shipping reliably. The engineer will operate across backend, frontend, and data layers, making practical trade-offs and managing initiatives from initial problem formulation through production deployment and ongoing maintenance. Responsibilities include working alongside AI coding assistants, engaging directly with users, participating in code reviews, and mentoring colleagues.
The role operates within a remote-first organization comprising over one hundred fifty individuals distributed across more than twenty-five countries. Candidates are expected to collaborate effectively through both real-time communication and written asynchronous channels. The evaluation process includes two dedicated live-coding evaluations focused on frontend fundamentals and SQL, data logic, and algorithmic programming.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, ship, and maintain end-to-end product features across frontend, backend, and data boundaries
- Scope projects, prioritize tasks, and drive production rollout from problem definition to post-launch improvements
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and debug issues methodically across systems
- Engage directly with customers to understand product utilization and experience
- Contribute to architecture discussions and mentor other engineers joining the team
- Collaborate using clear written communication in a fully remote environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience
- Demonstrated backend foundation and track record of building and operating high-scale production systems
- Proficiency in React with the ability to own UI work and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
- Ability to write advanced SQL statements beyond basic SELECT and UPDATE queries
- Experience shipping meaningful user-facing features to production and monitoring their usage
- Familiarity with coding alongside AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
