The organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Machine Learning Platform team to develop the software infrastructure that allows machine learning engineers and data scientists to safely build, test, and run models in production environments.
In this position, you will take charge of complex platform projects from conception to production delivery. You will work closely with engineering, product, risk, fraud, and data science departments to resolve ambiguous challenges and create scalable architecture. Success in the first year involves driving platform initiatives, elevating developer experiences, enhancing system reliability, and establishing yourself as a technical leader.

Responsibilities
- Design and operate scalable architecture for model deployment, serving, data validation, and workflow orchestration
- Build reusable platform components, automation tools, and standards to improve system reliability and observability
- Collaborate across departments to transform ambiguous business needs into functional technical solutions
- Lead end-to-end technical initiatives and guide complex production troubleshooting and permanent fixes
- Conduct code and design reviews while mentoring fellow engineers through technical advice and pairing
- Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to increase efficiency and accelerate decision-making
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional software engineering background building and running production systems
- Strong proficiency in Python alongside solid knowledge of API design, distributed systems, testing, and service architecture
- Demonstrated background in designing scalable cloud-native services or data-intensive applications
- Working familiarity with SQL, databases, caching mechanisms, and request tracing across multiple systems
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and production monitoring
- Must be based in India or open to relocating to India for remote work within the country
Qualifications
- Familiarity with AWS, Databricks, MLflow, Amazon SageMaker, Apache Spark, PySpark, or Kafka
- Background in constructing feature stores, model-serving platforms, or internal developer tools
- Understanding of monitoring data and model quality, feature coverage, latency, and cost efficiency
- Prior exposure to handling sensitive data within regulated or financial services sectors
- Knowledge of Java or alternative backend programming languages
- Experience using AI assistants like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot for productivity
