Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and manage one or more engineering verticals across mobile and backend platforms
- Lead daily scrum activities, clarify technical needs, negotiate project priorities, and deliver projects on schedule
- Partner with product and design teams to build clear, achievable roadmaps for stakeholders and executives
- Establish clear objectives, use KPIs and data to guide team execution, and champion continuous improvement
- Drive the adoption of AI-assisted engineering workflows, testing support, code review improvements, and developer enablement
- Deliver metric and status updates to key stakeholders and executive leadership
- Recruit, assess, and onboard diverse engineering talent
- Bridge stakeholders across the enterprise to turn diverging ideas into actionable plans
- Engage directly in technical architecture discussions, operational reviews, and engineering quality practices
- Participate in occasional travel to company offices, conferences, and team-building events
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience managing one or more engineering teams
- At least 4 years of experience building fault-tolerant and highly scalable systems
- Proficiency in deconstructing architectures for development across multiple teams
- Ability to scope projects with targeted delivery dates matching business requirements
- Experience negotiating feature priorities with product management
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Familiarity with Agile software delivery and SCRUM methodology
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical report writing skills
- Comfort working within a fast-paced, hyper-growth entrepreneurial environment
Qualifications
- Experience working in a start-up environment
- Strong background in mobile software engineering
- Experience working with Kotlin Multiplatform or Compose Multiplatform
- Demonstrated passion for sports cards, collectibles, or live commerce
