Twilio is seeking a Presales Engineer for the South EMEA region to support its mission of shaping the future of communications and empowering developers worldwide. The role suits an energetic and creative problem solver who can engage comfortably with CEOs or sketch API flows with software engineers.

In this position, the professional will collaborate closely with account executives to drive technical discovery, propose architectures, deliver demonstrations, and build strong customer trust. Responsibilities span across conducting proof-of-concepts, responding to RFPs, designing documentation, and mentoring junior team members. The candidate will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex customer needs into innovative product solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives on pre-sales activities including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, and Proof-of-Concepts
  • Lead technical and product sales to help customers achieve success and guide them on API utilization
  • Establish status as a trusted advisor by uncovering customer technical pain points through discovery
  • Design, present, and demonstrate innovative solutions that address complex business challenges
  • Build and present interactive customer product demonstrations showcasing communications products
  • Contribute to the internal Presales Engineering community through knowledge sharing and material creation
  • Mentor less experienced members of the Presales Engineering team

Requirements

  • Over 8 years of pre-sales experience selling complex technical products or over 10 years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer-facing delivery or consulting experience
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex topics to varied audiences
  • Proficiency in understanding customer communications needs and guiding them to technical solutions
  • Software development experience or working knowledge in backend technologies like Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP
  • Web development familiarity including JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
  • Experience building applications utilizing REST APIs
  • Prior background working in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline like Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure along with cloud application architecture
  • Experience working with customers located in the South region
  • Proficiency in speaking French, Spanish, or Italian
