Karbon is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its finance and accounting department. The company develops artificial intelligence-driven practice management software for accounting firms through an award-winning cloud platform utilized across forty countries. In this function, the professional will help scale the organization by building internal business partnerships and refining financial operations.
The successful applicant will handle various daily accounting tasks, assist with financial statement audits, and collaborate across departments on ad-hoc assignments. This position is remote while supporting a global team, though qualified candidates must reside in Manila or Cebu.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to support the month-end close process
- Conduct daily cash reconciliations and report cash metrics to finance leadership
- Process accounts payable invoices, handle coding, and manage vendor onboarding
- Identify and implement process and system enhancements to improve the monthly close
- Examine monthly credit card statements and draft relevant journal entries
- Process employee expense reports according to company travel policies
- Gather documentation and support for external financial audits and tax compliance
- Maintain internal control policies and collaborate on cross-functional projects
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Residence in Cebu or Manila
Qualifications
- Experience working in the high-tech SaaS industry
- Familiarity with NetSuite
