The position requires navigating complex, loosely defined problems and working directly with government stakeholders to determine technical solutions.
The role centers on platforms like Palantir Foundry, Databricks, and enterprise AI tools, necessitating deep technical fluency to evaluate architecture and data tradeoffs with engineers. Candidates will shape product strategy, translate policy mandates into actionable requirements, and help government partners cultivate digital capabilities. While the position offers a fully remote working environment within the United States, travel may be required one to twice annually depending on project needs. Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, successfully pass a company background check, and obtain a Tier 2 public trust background investigation.
Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team consisting of engineers, designers, researchers, and subject matter experts to ship impactful products.
- Formulate product vision, objectives, roadmaps, backlogs, and success measures from loosely defined problems.
- Translate government program and policy requirements into actionable technical solutions alongside engineering teams.
- Facilitate team planning sessions, retrospectives, and stakeholder synchronization meetings.
- Partner with government stakeholders to foster internal digital skills and product knowledge throughout the project lifecycle.
- Navigate bureaucratic obstacles to establish more intuitive future processes.
Requirements
- Ability to develop outcome-focused product strategies supported by clear roadmaps and success metrics.
- Demonstrated application of lean and agile principles to validate assumptions and manage prioritized backlogs.
- Experience applying service design techniques such as journey mapping and service blueprinting.
- Hands-on experience delivering AI-enabled products, workflows, or intelligent document processing.
- Comprehension of data flow, system architecture, data modeling, APIs, security, and engineering tradeoffs.
- Skill in building trust and alignment with clients and stakeholders.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship and conduct all work within the U.S.
- Must successfully complete a background check and obtain a Tier 2 public trust background investigation.
Qualifications
- Practical experience utilizing tools such as Palantir Foundry, Databricks, Credal, or Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience implementing responsible AI practices and evaluating model outputs using frameworks like the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
- Familiarity with federal security and compliance standards including FedRAMP and Authority to Operate processes.
- Background in software engineering, data science, or launching products from zero to one in startup environments.
- Experience transforming policy directives into software solutions and modernizing legacy systems.
Core Skills
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- Short-term and long-term disability protection alongside life and AD&D insurance.
- Flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care, plus a health savings account.
- Dollar-for-dollar 401(k) matching up to 10% of salary with no vesting period.
