Operating globally with a distributed workforce spanning over 75 countries, the organization pairs remote work with periodic in-person team gatherings.
The company seeks a Silicon Alliances Ecosystem Development Manager to collaborate with leading semiconductor businesses, aligning open-source software adoption with hardware optimizations. This professional will facilitate joint product roadmaps, negotiate contracts, and coordinate go-to-market strategies that ensure seamless deployment experiences across diverse hardware environments. The position suits individuals passionate about hardware and software who can navigate complex technical landscapes and want to advance into business development.
Candidates may be hired at various experience levels, ranging from early career to senior roles, and must be located in the Americas or in EMEA if able to work a shifted schedule to support Americas-based partners. Global travel for sprints, events, and partner meetings is required.
Responsibilities
- Represent Canonical and its software solutions directly to partners
- Analyze silicon partner strategies, roadmaps, and technologies to find overlaps with company products
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal engineering, product, marketing, and sales departments to drive new business
- Lead the definition of joint solutions, products, and complex programs using strong communication and influencing abilities
- Establish, track, and execute robust project plans
- Formulate joint go-to-market campaigns, messaging, collateral, and product launch plans with partners
- Negotiate and finalize successful contracts
Requirements
- Fundamental understanding of the semiconductor industry and ecosystem
- Customer-facing experience in technology strategy, business development, or related functions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex material
- Capacity to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels
- Discipline and self-motivation suitable for a remote work setting
- Ability to travel globally for partner meetings, events, and team sprints
- Location in the Americas, or in EMEA with the flexibility to work a shifted schedule supporting the Americas
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Engineering degree in science, technology, and/or engineering
- Prior experience in system and software architecture
- Familiarity with open-source software and open-source business models
- Previous team leadership or program management experience
