It is recruiting a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to safeguard quality and reliability on its digital platform. The SDET writes genuine production-grade code to construct automated test infrastructure, so customer money and data stay safe and reachable.
The job covers building test automation frameworks from scratch for backend APIs, web products and both iOS and Android apps. It spans functional, integration and end-to-end automation, performance, load and security testing, and wiring tests into CI/CD so each commit is checked before release. During design the SDET partners with engineers, product managers and QA analysts, sets testability requirements early, traces defects to root cause, and adds automation to stop repeat failures. Coaching junior colleagues and assessing new testing tools are included.
A minimum of five years in an SDET or automation post is expected, along with advanced Java and JavaScript and practical use of Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Appium. Responsibilities
- Architect and scale automation frameworks covering APIs, web and mobile apps
- Lead automated testing across functional, integration and E2E layers of financial journeys
- Integrate testing into CI/CD so every commit is validated before reaching production
- Execute performance and security testing to find bottlenecks and weaknesses early
- Help define testability needs during design with engineering and product
- Trace defects to their origin and build automated checks to prevent regressions
- Assess new testing tools and mentor junior colleagues
Requirements
- A minimum of five years in an SDET or automation post
- Expert Java and JavaScript, and some familiarity with C# and Groovy
- Hands-on test automation in Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Appium
- API testing with Apache HttpClient, OkHttp, Jest, Axios or Rest Assured
- Database connectivity via HikariCP or JDBC
- Familiarity with keyword-driven testing and page object modeling
- Comfort with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Maven, TestNG and Jest in build pipelines
- Reporting and test-management tooling such as Extent Reports and Jira
- Works independently, communicates well and shares knowledge with peers
