NTT DATA is seeking a remote Solution Architect for Databricks, with candidates needed in Latin America. The assignment supports a large Databricks migration for client Ovintiv, delivered through NTT DATA Services. The role is a subcontractor position inside a Data and AI platform squad.
The architect converts the squad's requirements into solutions that can be built consistently on Databricks and Microsoft Azure. That means owning end-to-end designs for each set of requirements, explaining the data team's limits and options to business and digital colleagues, and protecting the architecture: the Unity Catalog model, integration approaches, medallion layering rules and non-functional targets. The architect also weighs competing priorities such as delivery speed against completeness, or latency against cost, puts recommendations in writing, and keeps designs consistent with enterprise standards alongside the client's platform architects.
Candidates need six years or more in BI or warehouse design, data engineering or architecture, with at least three years of direct work on Databricks and Azure. Strong skill in data architecture and modeling is essential, and fluent professional English is needed. Certifications in Databricks, Azure, data engineering or cloud design are a plus.

Requirements

- Deep understanding of data architecture and modeling
- Ability to work remotely from Latin America
