Job Description
CertiK is a Web3 security firm founded in 2017 with headquarters in New York City. Its service menu covers code audits for smart contracts, intrusion testing, on-chain surveillance, incident handling and compliance help. Its customers include banks, regulators and licensed financial businesses moving into digital assets, and it builds regulatory software for those sectors.
The Solutions Consultant will carry CertiK's presence to clients across Europe. This forward-deployed work means spending long stretches alongside compliance, risk and innovation groups at banks, crypto-asset service providers (CASPs), custodians and regulators. The consultant studies how those organizations operate, which systems they rely on and which rules bind them, then passes these observations to Product and Business Development to inform both roadmap and sales approach.
Daily tasks include presenting CertiK's offerings to executive teams, turning operational friction points into proposals with defined scope, deliverables and timelines, and leading advisory projects such as licensing readiness reviews, gap assessments, technical due diligence work, plus studies of digital asset strategy, workshops and written reports. Business Development handles the commercial dialogue, while the consultant takes responsibility for the technical solution and on-site follow-through.
Applicants should have three years or more in consulting, solutions or sales roles facing clients, or in compliance, risk or regulatory positions at a financial firm or CASP. Working inside or alongside regulated institutions is required, as is a practical grasp of how bank compliance functions run and the systems that support them. The position involves stays of several weeks at client premises, frequent travel through Europe, and producing polished documents for senior leaders.
Work has to be carried out from outside the United States, and the company will not consider candidates who would be based within the country. Bonus credentials include familiarity with MiCA, FCA, BaFin or AMF authorization regimes, experience with VASP licensing and supervisory examinations, and hands-on use of compliance or market-surveillance platforms. Fluency in a second European language and a background at a major accounting firm or consultancy are also appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Work for long periods beside compliance, risk and innovation groups at European banks, CASPs, custodians and regulators
- Run discovery conversations and capture each client's processes and friction points in their own words
- Relay findings to Product and Business Development
- Demonstrate CertiK's offerings to senior client stakeholders
- Shape proposals with clear scope, deliverables and timelines from identified problems
- Lead advisory engagements covering licensing readiness, gap work and due diligence
- Speak for CertiK at industry gatherings and regulator meetings
- Coordinate with CertiK colleagues across three continents
Requirements
- Three or more years in a client-facing, compliance, risk or regulatory post at a bank, CASP or similar firm
- Experience with or inside regulated financial organizations
- Comfort spending multi-week stints on customer premises and crossing Europe frequently
- Working understanding of bank compliance rules and supporting technology
- Ability to write client-ready reports and present them to senior audiences
- Capacity to own a client relationship and a project end to end with little oversight
Qualifications
- Understanding of MiCA and of national licensing rules in several European markets
- Track record in VASP authorization, supervisory examinations or fixing compliance shortfalls
- Practical work with surveillance or compliance tooling
- Big 4 or financial advisory background
- Second European language
