Job Description
SPINS operates as a data technology leader focused on the health and wellness sector, helping clients navigate values-based consumer markets through retail insights and analytics. The organization is currently hiring a Solutions Engineer/Consultant, SPINS Shares & Extracts to guide customers as they transition massive and intricate data deliveries onto a brand-new data platform.
In this remote position, the professional will spearhead discovery discussions regarding current data consumption, map out technical requirements, and advise buyers on the optimal delivery mechanism—whether through scheduled SPINS Shares, customized SPINS Extracts, Managed Extracts, SPINS Intelligence views, or decommissioning outdated feeds. The role requires collaborating alongside the Senior Sales Engineer and Customer Success teams to align client needs with feasible configurations, manage volume trade-offs, and handle scope boundaries while maintaining transparent communication during evolving product phases.
This position suits a data professional who thrives in client-facing environments amidst ambiguity, possessing the capability to bridge technical data architectures with consultative discussions. The ideal candidate will transform operational insights into reusable enablement documentation, partner with cross-functional internal teams, and support pre-sale discussions regarding delivery capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct discovery sessions with clients regarding large data extracts, usage patterns, downstream destinations, and key stakeholders
- Analyze redundancies across client extracts and recommend efficient consolidation paths such as SPINS Shares, SPINS Extracts, Managed Extracts, or discontinuation
- Gather and validate data specifications including measures, timeframes, geographies, and products to prepare initial configurations
- Collaborate with the Senior Sales Engineer and Customer Success Managers on follow-ups, specification sign-offs, and onboarding handoffs
- Advise customers on data volume and cell-count sizing trade-offs, escalating scope expansion to commercial teams
- Communicate transparently regarding evolving product guidance, log open questions, and coordinate with Product, commercial, and Data Governance units
- Partner with Customer Success, Client Insights, Data Enablement, Product, and Marketing teams, utilizing Planhat for status tracking
- Analyze recorded customer interactions via Gong to refine conversational strategies and contribute to FAQs, decision trees, and enablement collateral
- Assist sales teams and pre-sale clients with technical inquiries regarding SPINS Shares and SPINS Extracts capabilities

- Working expertise with SPINS data delivery methods including Satori, SPINS Extracts, and SPINS Shares, or equivalent syndicated data delivery experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead discovery sessions and convert business needs into exact data specifications
- Experience managing large data sets, recurring feeds, cell counts, and aggregated versus trended data concepts
- Strong communication abilities to explain technical changes simply and manage challenging client interactions
- Organizational aptitude to manage multiple concurrent client projects with high attention to detail
