PENN Interactive seeks a remote Sportsbook Trader, Live to join its Risk and Trading Team. Operating within the sports entertainment and digital gaming sector, the organization delivers online wagering platforms such as theScore Bet Sportsbook and Hollywood Casino. This position focuses on the 360-degree management of live sports betting products, covering pricing, performance, promotions, presentation, and risk.
This role suits data-driven individuals who possess an obsession with sports and betting, perform well under pressure, and can make rapid decisions in a fast-paced environment. The schedule requires complete flexibility, including regular evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts aligned with the global sports calendar.
Daily operations involve monitoring wagers and pricing continuously, reacting promptly to industry movements, evaluating market liabilities, and grading markets rapidly to support cash flow. The trader will collaborate with product and customer-facing teams, analyze customer risk data and syndicate behavior, generate reports using tools like SQL and Python, and contribute to scaling risk frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Monitor live wagers and pricing across all sports around the clock within company key performance indicators
- Track bet flow and react immediately to industry line movements
- Identify relevant bets to evaluate expected value and recognize irregular betting patterns
- Observe real-time market liabilities and grade markets rapidly to maintain cash flow
- Coordinate with trading and customer-facing units to support patron satisfaction and resolve issues
- Utilize internal systems to evaluate individual patron value and increase trading hold percentages
- Produce and execute reports using Python, SQL, Looker, Mode, and Tableau
- Conduct retrospective pattern analysis to detect multi-accounting and syndicate coordination
- Triage customer accounts for review and report on the commercial impacts of risk decisions
Requirements
- Ability to work remotely
- Availability to work regular evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays based on business needs
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in a trading environment
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in a relevant discipline such as Mathematics, Engineering, or Sciences
- Strong mathematical skills paired with analytical and problem-solving abilities
