Contentstack is seeking an experienced professional for a senior individual contributor role to oversee a high-value enterprise account portfolio. The company operates as a digital experience platform provider, combining structured content, real-time data, and AI orchestration into a single system utilized by major global brands. In this position, the individual will serve as the primary strategic contact throughout the customer lifecycle for roughly twenty to twenty-five accounts representing at least five million dollars in annual recurring revenue.
This position requires navigating complex organizational structures, establishing executive-level connections, driving adoption rates, safeguarding retention, and spotting expansion possibilities. Candidates will formulate multi-year success plans, forecast retention targets using usage data, and lead executive business reviews. The role also involves mentoring peers, collaborating cross-functional teams, and leveraging AI tools for portfolio management.
Ideal candidates possess extensive background in customer success, account management, or enterprise SaaS sales, along with strong commercial acumen and familiarity with composable architectures. The position is situated in the Central Time Zone, with an affinity for applicants based in Austin, Texas, and requires occasional travel.
Responsibilities
- Manage an account portfolio of approximately 20 to 25 enterprise accounts representing over $5M in ARR
- Design multi-year success plans aligned with customer digital transformation objectives and adoption milestones
- Cultivate executive relationships with stakeholders such as Chief Marketing Officers and Chief Technology Officers
- Forecast and monitor retention metrics using engagement, health, and adoption indicators
- Facilitate Executive Business Reviews and workshops to showcase return on investment
- Negotiate and close upsell and volume expansion deals within the assigned portfolio
- Provide guidance to customers regarding best practices for scaling implementations and evolving workflows
- Coach and mentor other customer success managers on commercial strategy and risk management
- Partner cross-productively with sales, marketing, and product departments to support customer outcomes
Requirements
- Have 8 to 12 years of professional background in customer success, enterprise SaaS sales, account management, or related customer-facing fields
- Demonstrate a proven history of meeting or exceeding commercial quotas such as net retention, renewals, and expansion
- Possess experience administering a complex enterprise book of business following implementation
- Show strong commercial acumen regarding negotiations, forecasts, and renewal processes
- Display exceptional communication abilities to influence C-suite stakeholders
- Exhibit working knowledge of APIs, integrations, and composable architectures
- Maintain familiarity with CRM and customer success software including Salesforce, Gong, and WorkRamp
- Be located in the Central Time Zone with a preference for Austin, Texas
