The company is currently hiring a Sr. Manager, Machine Learning Engineering, Ads Measurement Products to lead engineering functions dedicated to advertising assessment and verification.
This position sits within the Measurement Products group, which constructs first-party and third-party tracking tools to help advertisers evaluate campaign success, test market strategies, and analyze business outcomes. The incoming manager will guide a multi-disciplinary technical staff of backend, data, and machine learning specialists who build production-grade platforms for conversion lift, brand outcomes, budget-split testing, matched markets, and clean-room analytics.
Ideal candidates possess extensive software development and management experience, paired with a solid background in ad performance evaluation, causal inference, and probabilistic modeling. The job requires working out of the Seattle office on a hybrid schedule, meeting in person one to two times per month. Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a technical staff of machine learning, backend, and data engineers focusing on ad measurement technologies.
- Define long-term technical direction and multi-year engineering strategies for measurement platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and infrastructure groups to operationalize causal inference and experimentation systems.
- Oversee the creation of scalable machine learning and data architectures covering conversion lift, brand lift, marketing mix modeling, and multi-touch attribution.
- Foster an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture centered on accountability and innovation.
- Encourage the responsible application of artificial intelligence and large language model assistants to speed up prototyping while preserving validation standards.
Requirements
- Ten or more years of professional experience building software, machine learning architectures, or massive data pipelines
- Five or more years of experience leading engineering teams responsible for production environments
- Demonstrated expertise with ad measurement, ad effectiveness, or incrementality methodologies
- Familiarity with causal inference, probabilistic modeling, or experimentation using privacy-constrained data
- Track record of aligning multiple business, product, and engineering teams to deliver advertiser impact
- Ability to commute to the Seattle office for in-person collaboration one to two times per month
