EvenUp is seeking a remote Sr. Manager, Revenue Accounting to oversee the entire revenue lifecycle, order-to-cash workflows, and technical accounting under ASC 606. This role fits a strategic and hands-on finance professional who enjoys operating in a fast-moving environment while automating workflows and maintaining rigorous accuracy standards. The person in this position will directly supervise and guide a Senior Accountant for Revenue and an Accounts Receivable Specialist. Key objectives include shrinking the month-end close cycle, optimizing NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning tools, maintaining strong internal controls, and serving as the primary contact for external audits.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue accounting operations, customer billing, contract reviews, collections, and cash application
- Supervise, mentor, and direct the Senior Accountant for Revenue and the Accounts Receivable Specialist
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for multi-element contracts and software revenue recognition under US GAAP guidelines
- Execute process enhancements across billing systems, NetSuite ERP, and close management software to drive automation
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Customer Success, and Product teams regarding contract terms and pricing
- Maintain internal controls for order-to-cash workflows and lead external audit preparation for revenue and deferred revenue schedules
Requirements
- Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience
- At least four years focused on technical revenue recognition, order-to-cash operations, and revenue close processes within technology or SaaS businesses
- Minimum of two years of direct people management experience scaling revenue and accounts receivable professionals
- Hands-on familiarity with NetSuite ERP, revenue modules, billing engines, Salesforce CRM, and close management platforms
