Zapier is seeking a Sr. Motion Designer to join its Brand Studio, a creative unit operating within marketing at the intersection of brand, enterprise positioning, and product. This remote position based in the EMEA region involves shaping how the company moves across various touchpoints and building scalable systems that allow internal teams to independently produce motion content.
The ideal candidate thinks in systems, possesses strong narrative and rhythmic sensibilities, and can translate user interface frames or brand guides into compelling visual stories. Responsibilities include designing product explainers, event visuals, and social video snippets, as well as developing component libraries, motion guidelines, and template files. The professional will collaborate alongside brand designers, design operations, product marketing, product design, web teams, and social contributors, while also partnering with external agencies on large-scale productions.
This opportunity suits an autonomous creative who thrives in ambiguous environments, communicates proactive creative insights, and experiments with emerging AI video tooling. Responsibilities
- Design and produce motion for product explainers, website animations, paid social video snippets, keynotes, events, and campaign assets
- Draft straightforward storyboards independently to accelerate project turnaround
- Build polished product demo animations and feature explainers directly from product team user interface frames
- Establish Zapier's motion design language and branded motion patterns for every surface
- Create motion guidelines, component libraries, and mogrts files for partner and social teams
- Explore tools like Jitter and Figma Motion to help partners generate on-brand animated assets
- Produce short video snippets for multi-angle and multi-format paid social testing
- Support and scale the recurring product video format into a repeatable launch template
Requirements
- Ability to transform user interface frames or brand briefs into engaging visual stories
- Experience thinking in systems by building mogrts files, component libraries, and motion guidelines
- Understanding of brand dynamics including timing, easing, personality, and emotional register
- Strong sense of sound, rhythm, and narrative structure in motion design
- Familiarity using AI video tools experimentally within a daily practice
- Ability to manage stakeholders proactively with creative insights
