The IT Enterprise Systems division seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer, Sales & Marketing to join the team in Seattle for a full-time position. This role focuses on advancing sales, marketing, and finance systems by creating full-stack applications, services, and integrations on enterprise infrastructure.
The position is well-suited for an experienced software engineer who wants to combine traditional backend development with modern artificial intelligence tools. The job involves architecting generative AI and machine learning services that automate enterprise workflows, managing the complete software development lifecycle, and mentoring fellow engineers. Candidates will leverage AI coding assistants and agents to accelerate development while ensuring reliability and security.
While the job is based out of Seattle, the hybrid work model requires in-person collaboration only one to two times every six months, allowing the employee to reside anywhere in the United States. Relocation assistance is not offered for this opening. Team members collaborate closely with product managers and business systems analysts to translate ambiguous business objectives into technical deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate full-stack applications and backend services for Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams
- Lead technical design and implementation of GenAI and machine learning powered pipelines and services
- Manage the complete software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to monitoring and continuous improvement
- Partner with product managers and business systems analysts to define technical plans and success metrics
- Utilize AI coding tools and agents to accelerate development while maintaining rigorous code quality
- Mentor other engineers on system design, GenAI patterns, and AI-augmented workflows
Requirements
- Ten plus years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems on a modern cloud platform
- Strong proficiency in Python along with experience in at least one of Java, Node.js, or JavaScript
- Experience building systems or analytics used by Sales or Marketing teams
- Hands-on experience designing and operating distributed systems and fault-tolerant integrations
- Practical experience building or integrating GenAI and machine learning powered features in production
- Ability to travel to the office for in-person collaboration one to two times every six months
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience working in enterprise or business systems environments
- Salesforce engineering experience supporting sales and marketing workflows
