Job Description
IntelliPro seeks a Sr. Verification Engineer (ASIC) for a contracted remote role starting in October 2026 and concluding in June 2026, with potential for conversion requiring relocation to Austin, Texas or Southern California. The position supports TeraWave in developing its inaugural in-house silicon initiative, encompassing a high-throughput modem and a digital beamformer targeted for initial tapeout in 2027. The role involves shaping verification methodologies, strategies, and infrastructure from the ground up across IP, subsystem, and full SoC levels.
This position suits professionals experienced in functional verification who want to help establish an AI-enabled verification platform leveraging LLM-assisted testbench generation, automated regression triage, and data-driven coverage closure. IntelliPro, established in 2009, operates as a global talent acquisition organization connecting candidates with career opportunities across more than 160 countries.
Responsibilities
- Manage verification planning and execution for complex blocks and subsystems from test plan creation to sign-off
- Translate design specifications into verification strategies, measurable coverage goals, and risk identification
- Determine appropriate verification techniques including constrained-random simulation, formal analysis, and directed testing
- Create verification environments, reference models, scoreboards, protocol monitors, coverage components, and assertions
- Drive functional coverage closure, regression health, and sign-off readiness across simulation and formal outputs
- Construct verification infrastructure, continuous integration systems, and reuse strategies across IP, subsystem, and SoC levels
- Deploy and build AI-assisted verification tools for test generation, regression analysis, and coverage analytics
- Examine testbench architecture and debug methodologies while mentoring junior staff
Requirements
- Minimum five years of professional experience in ASIC or SoC functional verification
- Practical expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM, or formal testbench creation and upkeep
- Background in metric-driven verification covering planning, assertions, and functional coverage closure
- Experience verifying intricate digital control and datapath logic, encompassing RTL and system-level debugging
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or seven years of equivalent experience
- Familiarity with space-based communications, wireless communications, modem, baseband, or DSP hardware
- Experience verifying LDPC, FEC, framing, or beamforming logic utilizing bit-accurate reference models and fixed-point analysis
- Background in formal verification for production silicon involving connectivity, register maps, arbitration, CDC, or security properties
- Interconnect or NoC verification experience handling performance, bandwidth, quality of service, and deadlock analysis
- Experience verifying fault tolerance and reliability features like ECC, redundancy schemes, or fault injection
- Familiarity developing C-based or portable stimulus for SoC, CPU boot, and firmware-driven testing
- Experience applying AI, machine learning, or large language model tools to stimulus creation, regression triage, or coverage analysis
