Affirm is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead credit and pricing initiatives remotely in Canada. In this role, you will direct the strategy for consumer credit experiences spanning shopping, repayment, and marketing. Affirm focuses on delivering predictable payment solutions with transparent terms and no hidden fees.
You will work alongside engineering, design, analytics, credit, marketing, commercial, and legal stakeholders to simplify complex financial systems into straightforward user journeys. Responsibilities include defining product visions, mapping out prequalification processes, running experiments, and tracking metrics such as activation and repeat engagement.
This opportunity is well-suited for product leaders who thrive in ambiguous environments and possess a background in financial technology, e-commerce, or marketplaces. The position operates on a remote-first basis, allowing eligible candidates to work from several Canadian provinces while collaborating virtually.
Responsibilities
- Formulate a cohesive long-term vision and strategy for consumer credit features across shopping, repayment, and marketing touchpoints
- Design intuitive product flows that help users discover purchasing power and track repayment schedules prior to checkout
- Create tailored user journeys for both first-time and returning customers based on user research and testing
- Manage merchant prequalification and purchasing power capabilities in partnership with core decisioning teams
- Drive alignment across engineering, design, analytics, credit, marketing, commercial, and legal stakeholders
- Define success metrics, run experiments, and utilize funnel analysis to enhance conversion rates and comprehension
Requirements
- Accumulate at least 7 years of product management experience taking products from initial discovery through scaling in fintech, e-commerce, marketplaces, or related fields
- Demonstrate a history of independently setting product direction and aligning cross-functional teams around measurable goals
- Reside in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan
