The Conversion Visibility group currently seeks a Staff Software Engineer to spearhead the backend architecture for a generative AI conversion health agent. This individual will create scalable services and retrieval layers, develop data flows, and connect sub-agents directly with advertising measurement infrastructure.
This position suits an experienced developer with deep background knowledge in digital advertising measurement, attribution pipelines, and distributed systems. Operating in a forward-deployed manner, the engineer will collaborate closely with internal product, operations, and sales teams to convert user challenges into automated agent skills. Responsibilities include refining retrieval quality, establishing safety evaluations, and linking monitoring tools with broader ad functionalities like campaign optimization and bidding.
The role operates out of the Seattle office on an on-site hybrid model requiring physical attendance one day per week. Candidates will engage in a technical evaluation process that explores both foundational engineering expertise and collaborative interaction with artificial intelligence tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead backend design and implementation for the generative AI conversion health agent, covering services, data flows, and retrieval layers.
- Harden application prompts and tools while improving retrieval accuracy, safety checks, and evaluation protocols for continuous monitoring.
- Design communication channels and application programming interfaces connecting sub-agents with downstream advertising products and internal tooling.
- Consolidate measurement context layers, including attribution tables and enrichment pipelines, into high-grade signals for agent querying.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, sales, and operations teams to diagnose conversion drop-offs and translate pain points into agent capabilities.
- Establish generative AI engineering patterns and guardrails to elevate team velocity, measurement quality, and ad performance.
Requirements
- Over eight years of backend or full-stack engineering experience building large-scale distributed systems, data pipelines, and services.
- Demonstrated history of shipping end-to-end products powered by machine learning or generative artificial intelligence.
- Prior domain expertise within the digital advertising sector, specifically focused on measurement, attribution, and conversion tracking.
- Proven proficiency in data analysis, product scoping, and experimentation using SQL over large data volumes.
- Strong technical leadership background driving complex cross-functional initiatives from conception through deployment.
- Ability to work from the Seattle office for in-person collaboration one day per week.
