Job Description
A Strategic Account Executive is wanted for this full-time, on-site opening in New York, aimed at financial services clients. Candidates are expected to currently reside in NY/NJ or Phoenix and to bring experience selling complicated technology to card-issuing companies or other large, dispersed financial organizations.
The person owns the pursuit of strategic software and SaaS opportunities across assigned Fortune 250 accounts, from the first conversation through to closing. Executive relationships matter greatly, and so does the business case that connects Elastic to each client's priorities. The executive also writes a strategic plan, sets deal strategy and leads the internal team on every opportunity.
Other duties cover documenting each client's technology footprint, identifying the buyers across business lines, IT and economic roles, and keeping up with news such as leadership changes, financial results and announcements. The aim is new wins plus broader adoption of Elastic's software, SaaS and services, with growth kept even across the account.
The best fit has a long record in technology sales for banking and financial services, has led multi-stage negotiations on software and subscription deals, and presents with confidence to senior audiences. Pay is a combination of base salary and a target variable portion, and together they form on-target earnings.

- Consistent growth in B2B high-technology sales results
- Experience engaging and persuading C-suite leaders at Fortune 500 companies on deals in the seven- and eight-figure range
- Knowledge of subscription and SaaS licensing, including cloud spend, credits and services
- Top-tier selling and presenting skills with high win rates
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
