As a key technical leader, the incumbent will direct the creation of scalable solutions, build robust application programming interfaces, and optimize database architectures. The work centers on enhancing procure-to-pay infrastructure, integrating enterprise resource planning software, and mentoring junior engineering personnel. Responsibilities
- Spearhead the architectural design of secure, high-performance backend systems aligned with long-term goals
- Design and implement backend services, APIs, and microservices for the procure-to-pay platform
- Collaborate with product and engineering groups to turn business needs into technical solutions
- Integrate third-party systems, such as Oracle Fusion and other enterprise ERPs
- Optimize database queries and data storage solutions using MongoDB
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within existing backend applications to boost performance
- Mentor junior developers by providing code reviews and sharing knowledge
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain operational health
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on background as a MEAN Stack Developer building and scaling backend systems
- Deep experience designing distributed and scalable backend infrastructure using microservices
- In-depth knowledge of RESTful API design and microservice architecture
- Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, or Nest.js
- Familiarity with WebSockets, SQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, message queues, distributed caches, and data pipelines
- Exceptional troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning capabilities
Qualifications
- Experience with GCP deployments and pipeline management
- Prior background integrating external systems and enterprise resource planning software
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts in backend services
- Knowledge of monorepos and tooling such as Nx.dev
