The company is currently looking for a Threat Detection Analyst fluent in both Japanese and English to join its Customer Security Operations Center team. This position centers on safeguarding client systems against internet-scale attacks, mitigating bot activities, handling web application firewalls, and managing security agent software installations. Operating within a 24/7 environment, the analyst will be responsible for monitoring user behavior, resolving escalated security tickets, and conducting research to improve security services. The role suits professionals with an information security background who can operate effectively with minimal oversight and provide technical mentorship to colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze client activity with a focus on web application security, account takeovers, and bot attacks
- Resolve escalated security cases from clients and automated detection systems
- Conduct research and continuous improvement initiatives for security products and operations
- Contribute to scaling organizational processes and policies
- Produce and review security reports for clients
- Develop and manage security content tailored to client environments
Requirements
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Japanese
- Prior background working inside a Security Operations Center environment
- Experience with SaaS, cloud, or hybrid cloud deployments
- Familiarity with web server platforms such as Apache, NGINX, or IIS, alongside application server technologies
- Scripting capabilities in languages such as Python, Java, Go, Rust, PHP, Unix/Linux Shell, or C#
- Background in information security with practical skills in application security
- Experience in technical support, operations, or research roles within IT or security
- Familiarity with Unix, Linux, or Windows system administration
- Availability to work shifts spanning Friday through Tuesday, from 0000 to 0800 UTC
